Your session will be conducted securely through Pactima Remote Online Notarization (RON) — a State of Michigan approved platform that allows you to meet with a notary via live video and electronically sign your documents.
***Please note a non-refundable fee of $20 is required to schedule a Remote Online Notary session with us. This fee must be paid in advance and will be applied to KBA and document tagging services. ***
WHAT TO EXPECT
You will receive an email invitation from “Velita Faulk via Pactima” with a link to preview your documents for your secure signing session. You will click the link to begin your identity verification process. You will be asked questions pulled from your credit history that only you can answer. You will also be asked to upload a picture of your non-expired government issued ID. Upon authentication, you will then be able to preview your documents which you will sign at your scheduled appointment time using the same link in the email you received. The entire session is recorded and stored securely for compliance purposes.
1. Prepare for Your Appointment
Use a computer, tablet, or smartphone with a camera, microphone, and reliable internet connection.
Have a valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID ready (driver’s license, passport, or state ID).
Choose a quiet, well-lit, and private location for the session.
2. Accessing the Pactima Link
You will receive an email from Pactima titled “eNotary (RON) Session….”
Click “Start Session” or “Join Now” or “Preview eNotary (RON) Package
Follow the prompts to complete ID verification and upload any required documents if instructed.
3. During the Session
You will sign electronically during the live session.
The notary will walk you through the process and apply their electronic seal and digital signature once complete.
The session will be recorded for your protection and in compliance with notary laws.
4. After the Session
A digitally notarized copy of your document will be emailed to you.
Download and save the completed document for your records.
5. Technical Tips
Use Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the best results.
Avoid public Wi-Fi when possible.
Close other apps or programs to improve video and audio quality.
6. If You Encounter Issues
ID Verification Failure - Ensure your ID is clearly visible, well-lit, and glare-free or try a different device if the camera won’t focus.
Session Timeout or Disconnection - Try rejoining the session using the same link from your email. If rejoining fails, contact me for a new link.
